Draper Studio is a practical and purposeful workspace for ceramic artist Lynda Draper. Lynda’s nuanced work channels her ongoing interest in the duality of dreams, the material and metaphysical, mortality and memory. Having lived on the property for 30+ years, the studio acts as a connection from the past to the present. The form references a rusty tin kiln shed that once stood in its place. Rhythmic vertical cladding speaks to the weatherboards of the primary residence, as a wash of indirect natural light illuminates the space for an ideal neutral working environment.
